[streaming] vbrick & vls compatibility

We're about to build a TV over IP using the vbrick technology.
I've seen the encoder/decoders at work and the results are amazing BUT
I hate their products are tied to windows OSes, they offer a SDK but
only for windows (com objects, activeX etc..) , everything is closed
source and proprietary. I was wondering if anyone tried to stream a
mpg2 transport file using vls and decode the stream using a vbrick
decoder (unicast or multicast) or stream a live analog video using a
vbrick encoder and decode it using vlc on windows or macosX or better
using a linuxbox *without xwindow* with a svideo tv out and controlled
through ssh.
AFAIK vbrick uses RTP + standard mpeg1/2 transport (wrapped in an udp
packet) + SAP so I think should be compatible with VLS!
thanx for helping
