[streaming] Multicasting across multiple VLANs

Hi all,
I am trying to find whether it is possible to multicast a video stream
to multiple VLANs on the same switch at the same time, without
duplicating data:
I have a Linux machine, which I would like to connect to multiple VLANs
simultaneously configured as a router. I understand that this is
possible using a supported ethernet card, and a setup using eth0.1,
eth0.2, etc with an IP address for each VLAN.
I now have a need to make a multicast video stream available to all
network clients on all the VLANs.
If I do this, will each multicast packet be sent out once per VLAN? (ie
10 VLANs 10 multicast packets for each packet in the multicast stream);
or will one multicast packet be sent out visible by all VLANs? (ie 10
VLANs but one multicast packet that is sent to all VLANs simultaneously
for each packet in the multicast stream).
Regards,
Graham
