Hi all,
I am the main developer of LiVES, the Free, Open Source video editor
(http://lives.sourceforge.net)

I am very interested in streaming video/audio from LiVES using VLC. I
have a question about the input format to VLC streaming.
Probably the best way to stream from LiVES to VLC would be via playback
plugins in LiVES. For the video playback plugin, LiVES will periodically
send pixel data in an agreed palette to the plugin. The size can change
from frame to frame, but LiVES will always re-init before the image size
changes.

There are functions for init/destroying the 'screen' on play start/stop
or when the image size changes.

I wonder if this will be enough to act as an input to VLC. What method
does VLC use to get a frame for streaming ?

Regards,
Salsaman.
