[streaming] Saving stream into file in mpeg4 format

Dear VideoLan team

 

Is it possible to save video stream (from PVR or DVB card) into file in mpeg4 format?

I see that VideoLan support mpeg4, but how to do it? Using VLC or VLS?

If yes, what size of mpeg4 file will be for 1 hour of stream?
