Adrian,

Where did you get your version of DVTS from? You can download the version I
use from http://dance.fsu.edu/telematics and look for the dvts article.
Also is your canopus box Pal?  I have had segmentation fault issues but
resolved them by deleting and reinstalling DVTS.  Your setup should work as
stated below because I think the OS-X version of DVTS supports Pal.   I am
also using 10.3.
