This seems ok to  me. (provided 1.1.1.1 is the ip  of you server). Could
you send us the complete log. Which  OS are you using ? Packaged of self
compiled VLC ?

About H264, yes,  VLC should be able  to transcode to h264,  but I don't
think any "common" CPU would currently be able to transcode a VGA stream
to H264 in real time...
