It depends on what you're trying to do.  I use Windows 2K/XP, let VLC handle
the encoding of the audio/video coming off of the card.  The Viewcast Osprey
framegrabber family works well for that, 640x480 maximum resolution, 30 fps.
If it's an analog A/V source, the 210 works well.  If there's a digital
source the 500 (I forget which model) has a digital input (though I've not
used it, not sure how it does).
