Well, first of all, make sure there isn't a more recent package
(0.8.0test2 is a beta release, and quite an old one). Also meake sure
there is not a plugin package with the ts support (vlc-plugin-ts or
something like this).

If you still can find the ts mux/demux, you should fill a bug report to
the PLF. They are the one that are packaging VLC for Mandrake at this
time.
