Hi,

After the release of the freeplayer concept I'd like to know why the
Videolan client could not do what the Free server which name is
freeplayer.free.fr does.

Why?
Simply to be able to make VLC a serious polyform audio/video manager as
well as MythTv (chich is not really multiplatform) and Freevo.
Now that Free has released a modified version of the internal HTTP
server that accepts CGI it would not be difficult to permit VLC to mux a
command interface (the graphic one) with a output stream
in order to develop wonderful setop boxes with VLC.
Since VLC will be able to manage several output streams as VLS does
today I think it is a wonderful challenger in this domain!

What do you think of that ?

Rgds,
