[streaming] Re: streamng from a Windows Media Server via RTSP (live555)

There is a trouble ticket on outstanding WM RTSP issues:

RTSP sessions timeout after 2 minutes, because WMServer doesn't support
RTCP for liveliness and liveMedia doesn't support sending RTSP messages
for it.

Onderwerp: [streaming] streamng from a Windows Media Server via RTSP
(live555)

Hi All.

I'm using the vlc version 0.8.4, and am trying to play a WMV content
that is streamed from a Windows Media Server via the RTSP module
(live555) using the rtsp-tcp option.

The thing is - after about 2 minutes the server stops delivering the
data, although no prior change of behavior or RTSP messages are sent on
the line.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Does anyone has an idea to the
reason or the solution to this behavior?

Thanks.

Noam Oren.

p.s.: I've tried several streams and different servers - always the same
behavior...
