Gilberto,
I appreciate your help.
I have compiled with --enable-ffmpeg and --with=/ffmpeg/tree option.
I have just compiled libavcodec so I don't have ffplay. I will try with
ffplay as you suggested.
But with current VLC, I can play mpeg video which uses ffmpeg, but I can't
play mpeg4.
And about windows version...
I have downloaded binary and installed it.
It plays mpeg4 streamed by Live555 but does not play or stream same file
locally!!!
I'm confused about this strange behavior.
Can u play mpeg4 with windows version?
Thanks
Kushal

Hi kushal,
I'm using vlc on linux to stream and windows to recibe the stream, in the
server i transcode using h264 (Mpeg 4 part 10 or AVC) and dont have any
problem in the vlc client....
If you are using linux check that you have installed ffmpeg and if you can
run ffplay file.mp4, and you watch the video i think that your vlc was
complied without ffmpeg support, try compile the vlc with the option
--enable-ffmpeg and check ./configure --help to see others options.
