Increasing the msleep() calls (up to 50000 usecs) doesn't make any 
difference.

I do notice that sometimes (about once in every 10 new tuning attempts) 
I get the following error "[00000525] dvb access error: reading frontend 
failed (-1) Value too large for defined data type".

Also I verified the implementation of the code with the timing diagram 
in 
http://www.eutelsat.com/satellites/pdf/Diseqc/Reference%20docs/bus_spec.pdf, 
it seems perfect.

What puzzles me is that neither my consumer sat-receiver nor szap have 
any problems in controlling the switch ... also this switch is a 
professional device, so I wouldn't expect any deviations from the 
(well-documented) Eutelsat standard either.
