[Translators] Testing VLC translations

Hi all,

I'm having some problems for testing translations by running VLC in my
language, due to an old OS version (Ubuntu 10.10).
Do anyone know how to check a translation using the latest VLC version
available? I mean that for checking upcoming 1.1.10 version, I'll need
to make my .mo to run in that non released VLC version...
Already tried a compilation of a snapshot from vlc-1.1.git, but the
dependencies are really high.
