Who said that?

Yes, we can and will merge the po file.

See my answer here (I only replied to the list, maybe I should have CCed
you)

I say it again: Try transifex, if you want to. We accept po files as usual.

So, if you want to try transifex
----------
You need to create (free) a transifex account and request the creation
of a Portuese Portugal team here:

https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/vlc-trans/

If we are aware you are the current maintainer, we will approve the
request and you will become the portuguese maintainer for that project
(on transifex). You can add additional translators/reviewers/maintainers
as you like.

When starting with transifex keep in mind, that you can import (upload)
your po file. You do _not_ have to translate everything a second time.
----------

Grabbing the latest version of the translation from transifex and
pushing it into git at release date is rather easy, so sending the po
file via mail would become needless. There might be a little trouble
with the translators list in the po header, so I would appreciate
checking them after every release.

Regards

Christoph
