DVD discs not recognized (BeOS)

Hello there,


In the last few snapshots running with BeOS I have to access my DVD drive 
with the command line option :

dvd:/dev/disk/ide/atapi/1/master/0/raw

because in the BeOS interface the 'File|Open disc' menu stays 'empty'. The 
last working snapshot with this is :

vlc-snapshot-20011029.tar.gz
