New 0.4.1 branch

   I branched the current CVS because we'll probably release vlc 0.4.1
in a few days, which will be a bugfix release, and I'd also like to
commit my big changes ASAP. In the meantime, if you have stuff to check
in, please do it in both branches.

   The branch is called "v0_4_1_branch".
