Only in vlc-source I found this package: 
http://www.videolan.org/pub/testing/vlc-0.7.0-test1/rpm/redhat-fc/vlc-source/vlc-0.6.2-2.src.rpm
for vlc itself. It even has the wrong version number in the name ;-)

I missed the 
http://www.videolan.org/pub/testing/vlc-0.7.0-test1/rpm/redhat-fc/vlc-binary/vlc-0.7.0-1.i386.rpm 
package.

This is only valid for the additional (contrib) libraries, but not for 
VLC binary rpm itself.
