Actually it should have been <<insert the "gather stream_out" module...>>
The "gather stream_out" module is a stream output module which allows to 
keep and re-use the same stream output instance for all the consecutive 
playlist items that vlc will play.
Useful for instance to broadcast an http "web radio" stream without 
disconnecting the listeners each time the VLC server switches to next 
playlist item.

I agree that the message should have been made more explicit though.
