[vlc-devel] Installing VLC 0.6.0 i.e. "make install"

Hello, all ...

A quick search through the FAQ didn't reveal anything, so while i'm looking in other places i'll ask 
it here ... how can we specify where VLC should be installed when "make install" is run, i.e. other 
than /usr/local?  Is there a ./configure option for this?
