Derk,
Thanks for the help -- it's appreciated. I did run bootstrap, but this
is what it told me:
[Pugsley:~/multimedia/videolan] jmzorko% cd mpeg2dec-0.3.2-cvs/
[Pugsley:~/multimedia/videolan/mpeg2dec-0.3.2-cvs] jmzorko% ls
AUTHORS INSTALL NEWS acinclude.m4 bootstrap doc
libvo vc++
COPYING Makefile.am README aclocal.m4 configure include
src
ChangeLog Makefile.in TODO autotools configure.in libmpeg2
test
[Pugsley:~/multimedia/videolan/mpeg2dec-0.3.2-cvs] jmzorko% ./bootstrap
+ aclocal -I autotools
+ libtoolize --force --copy
You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
Putting files in AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR, `autotools'.
+ autoheader
configure.in:2: error: Autoconf version 2.54 or higher is required for
this script
configure.in:2: the top level
autoconf: tracing failed
+ automake --add-missing --copy
configure.in:10: `automake requires `AM_CONFIG_HEADER', not
`AC_CONFIG_HEADER'
+ autoconf
configure.in:2: error: Autoconf version 2.54 or higher is required for
this script
configure.in:2: the top level
+ rm -f config.cache
[Pugsley:~/multimedia/videolan/mpeg2dec-0.3.2-cvs] jmzorko%
... this is a normal Mac OSX 10.2.6 installation, using whatever
version of autoconf and automake came with it. What am I doing wrong?
