If you have a live stream (in multicast) you have the same stream 
(perhaps) for several vlc clients. If you pause the stream you will 
pause the stream for all clients. This is not the desired behaviour of 
a live stream, is it? ;)

This is the same like a cinema. If you are watching a movie in the 
cinema and you would like go to the bathroom, please ask to pause the 
movie!! ;D
