[vlc-devel] MPEG4 GOV timecode support

Hello,

I would like to add on-screen diplay support for the GOV timecode 
(HH:MM:SS) information inside an MPEG-4 video ES, as the timecode
in VLC always seems relative to the starting point of the current
file/stream.

What would be the correct design? Solve this in VLC or ffmpeg?
Can someone point me to existing modules I could re-use, or existing 
modules that do something similar?

The MPEG-4 video demuxer looks rather small for this.
