[vlc-devel] following a live HTTP stream

Hello,
I was using the HTTP input support under VLC 0.8.1. The file on the
server was still growing. I had repeat enabled.
Playing the stream goes OK, VLC shows the length of the stream, which
remains the same up to the *old* end-of-file, after which the stream is
re-opened and the new length is updated.
This process loops.
What would be very nice, is to be able to follow a live-growing HTTP
stream (while it being added to, i.e. recorded at the server side).
This allows for a simple "timeshift".
Could this be easily implemented by SEEKING/RESUMING past the known
file length?
Regards,
Leon Woestenberg.
