[vlc-devel] how to translate the interface to Chinese

I am a programmer and multimedia lover in China. I introduced VLC to
some friends of mine, but most of them don't know English. Therefore, 
I want to help them but the compiling procedure is so complex, so I
want to know to translate the interface to Chinese. I heard that there
is a .po file can do this, can you tell me how to do?
