My plan is to freeze the SVN branch tonight for the 0.8.6 release.
The only stuff allowed in there after that is the necessary version
updates etc. If there are still patches you want to apply, make sure
you have my explicit approval. If I'm not present, sent them to the
list, or somewhere else where I can read them.

If anyone has stuff to add to the NEWS, please do so. And if you have
time, please look at the roadmap and the remaining issues i would
LIKE to see resolved before the release. I'm not gonna wait much for
that however. It's time to release, and I don't plan on putting it
off any longer.

Saturday:
- update po
- check NEWS
- update Changelog
- create tarballs +md5s
- tag SVN
- building binaries +md5s
- testing the binaries for compile problems
I would like to keep all this on videolan at ganesh, to avoid any public
leaking.

Sunday:
- write announce
- put the binaries online, sync the primary mirrors
- update.videolan.org
- update the website
- announce mail
- update the software trackers
