Hey,

thanks for your greatly formatted and descriptive bug report.

The way your patch solves this (previously unknown) issue is pretty  
good as VLC's native hotkeys are pretty much in use, at least by the  
people who know about them. Prioritising the keys implemented using  
Cocoa is still a good idea.
Using Cocoa Wrappers for each of them is not realistic for now, as  
we're pretty short staffed for the Mac OS X port. In the long run,  
that's a nice idea though :-)

Obviously, your patch was just applied to VLC's unstable development  
trunk and will be back-ported to the stable branch pretty soon.
