A better solution would involve the gcrypt maintainer dropping their silly 
custom macros that break cross-compilation and add unnecessary link flags 
when NOT using static linking, and switching to pkg-config. But apparently, 
the responsible perso has this weird concept that the current situation is 
better because pkg-config would reportedly not work on Win32 and duplicating 
the checks would suck.

I am personnaly not entering yet another uphill battle. I am already 
sufficiently pissed off by the glibc/libintl stuff at the moment.
