after enquiring on the Matroska-devel list, I was told to post the ID
to the list
to make it publicly known, and that codec lists would be updated. I did this,
but the lists are not updated yet. Namespace collision appears unlikely though.

I can also resend vlc-devel a patch without the Matroska demuxing part, if
you'd prefer this.
