Didn't even though about it! I will sent them an email :)

I asked for a sourceforge projet account.
The thing is that I'm coding a MPlayer Phonon backend too. So for the
moment I think it's best to have both in the same repo.
I might share some code between the MPlayer and the VLC backends. And
it mights be better for experimenting to have my own repo. For the
future, when the backend is stable, it would be good to move it to VLC
git repo to get more visibility.
Besides, KDE folks might be interested to have it on their repo too

The part that needs help is the libvlc part. It needs
testing/debugging/more unit tests/documentation to make it rock solid
+ I'm mostly developing under Windows and you still don't provide a
sdk.zip that includes libvlc-control.lib, it makes it difficult to
debug and I don't want to spend hours compiling and installing all the
cygwin/mingw stuffs - don't have space anymore on my PC, I don't want
to delete my mp3s huhu

Wait for me to release something usable :)

It's simple and plain C++/Qt code. it compiles under MSVC8 and GCC
without changing a line of code. So it might compile (and maybe work)
out of the box under Qtopia/WinCE :)
