Hello,

You may remember http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=5443 ,
which is why i18n is disabled on Linux.

The bug has been fixed and you can find the patches on:

I'm going to try out the patches and report.

I don't know when glibc 2.7.1 or 2.8 will be released so I suggest you
to bug your distro package maintainers to include the patch.
