It *has* to be legal. Imagine if, each time you talked to someone, that person
decided to enumerate a list of things you were not allowed to do by law. You
would not have the right *not* to listen just because the speech mentioned
things that are illegal to do ?
It might be breach of contract and/or licence (or something along those lines)
but it would not make sense for it to be illegal (in the US, that
might not apply
since they don't really care about sense for internet and tech stuff).
Still, to cater for all tastes/requirements, how about a configure option, which
would allow selecting behavior while keeping unattended builds:
./configure --enable-nagging
