I am against this proposition, for what my opinion is worth.

My code is probably worse than jpsaman's so maybe you should remove my
rights too? And I am not the only one...
Many of us have created regressions, and many haven't been tracked
before a long time.

Many nice features have been brought by jpsaman, and having a consultant
around VLC helps dynamising the community.

I think that we need to have more defined goals for the releases and more
branches in order to check-in only better quality code.
