[vlc-devel] How to filter messages from the list

Dear all,

I subscribed to a number of lists, however I am receiving specific  
commit messages and general discussions.  I do not want to receive the  
commit messages in my mail program, but possibly want to get Git to  
refresh my local repos automatically when an update is committed.

My lists: videolan-announce, videolan-devel, vlc-devel, www-doc

Is this possible?  Any pointers to do so?

BTW: I learned a lot during the Paris event.
