I seriously suspect that the binary packages (ours and those of our
downstreams) are getting cluttered with really irrelevant languages (and/or
way incomplete translations). In VLC 0.9.9, we already have 13 megabytes
worth of decompressed MO files, about half of the complete VLC disk space.

Specifically, Manx is spoken by under 2000 people world-wide, most of them
not even natively.
