Sure, but that needs to be done before we merge the patch. I don't know, a
smartcard, a currency symbol, whatever. Not a lock.
We should reserve the lock for when/if we support authenticating the *sender*.
As in, am I watching the official radio channel, or an hijacked version? In
the streaming area, this is not a common feature though; typically the
receiver rather than the sender is authenticated, if any.
As Laurent noted privately, this may be more useful if we support VoIP-style
uses.
