Hi Pierre,

I do not have a Git repository of VLC on my machine. Don't know
exactly how to work wit Git actually. I take released versions only.
What I can do though is take the latest available nightly build and
try it if that would help? I see two release on
nightlies.videolan.org/build/win32 dated oct-21-2009:
branch-20091021-0002/ and trunk-20091020-2204/ any one would be
preferable?

I do recompile VLCs source code using released version's code tar
balls. This means I can add traces if needed in the version I am using
(1.0.1) if that can help.
