Thanks for your reply.
Sorry, I forgot to mention I am running VLC on fc11.
And I searched vlc nightly builds on following site but didn't get for 
fedora.
http://nightlies.videolan.org/
Generally I am using yum to upgrade vlc from livna repository. But don't 
know how to get nightly builds using yum.
