Well, we can show the buffering bar instead of speed when buffering is
happening (including the text "Buffering..." over the bar).

And if we want even more space, we can make all status bar labels
frameless, I think it wouldn't hurt. Plus those rectangular frames are
outdated and out-of-style anyway.
