Those strings come from plugins descriptor. Hence they will be stored in the 
plugins cache. The plugins cache is locale-independentm i.e. it must contain 
string *before* gettext is applied.

It's up to the GUI to translate those strings before it displays them. It 
cannot be done in the module loading core.
