vlc.git compiles pretty much out of the box on the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan. There 
were however a number of issues with contribs. I've already pushed most of the 
patches. The last ones are attached:

With that, the player seems to work fairly well. I am aware of the following 
known issues:

- Qt4 UI is barely usable due to the high screen resolution.
- Qt4 UI looks ugly due to lack of theme for plain Qt widgets.
- MIT-SHM fails safe (not investigated yet), so the XVideo output transmit
  frames over the local socket.
- GameMusecEmu, MPC and TagLib fail to link due to non-PIC code.
