Although, I would say that Smooth Streaming is more used than Dash...
So, why Mpeg needs Dash when we have Smooth Streaming? </troll>

I would say 2 months is quite correct.

Please remember to use the avformat demuxer, and not the mp4 one,
because of fragmented-isom.

Moreover, you should definitively have a look at the DASH patches on
this very mailing list.
