[vlc-devel] transcoding is slow

    I think the main cause that can impact the transcoding speed is the speed of x.264 encoding.   I know that x264 have three sets of preset parameters: High Speed preset, Normal preset, High Quality preset.  How can I set these parameters through VLC transcode options?   
    And how can I utilize hardware such as CUDA acceleration function to speed the transcoding?
