Yes.

Longer answer:
Splitting from vlc.git was probably a good idea. Splitting them
furthermore was not that great, I think. It made sync between plugins
harder and more complex; it added more packaging work on the vlc.git
side; duplicated some code and made it more difficult to contribute.

Moreover, the splitting for activex wasn't correctly done, seeing some
issues in the blame.

VLC 1.1.x will have limited improvements, I think.
VLC 1.2.x and further will use npapi-vlc.git (or the name it will
become in the future), so you should use that.
