You certainly complain enough. Why don't you pick up an IDE, download the friggin' source code, and see if you can add some value. This is an "Open Source" project, with time contributed by volunteers. I have seen, at various times, people posting to the list offers of cash for features or bug fixes. If this is your position, where you use VLC for some endeavor or another, and you need these features - then, kindly, you are welcome to do so.
Otherwise, please, for the love of the gods, STFU already!
