[vlc-devel] How to ensure HDCP connectivity?

Folks,

When playing through VLC, I need to ensure that the user is using HDMI output and HDCP compliant display. Is there any support within VLC to detect HDCP? If not, I would appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction for any HDCP programming sample? Perhaps I can write a wrapper code to ensure the presence of HDCP before firing up VLC.

My environment is Ubuntu 10.x.
