it derives from a latin plural, but we don't speak latin any more, and even
grammar pedants like me find that referring to data as a plural
seems awkward and contrived.
so, I would suggest
> In order to protect your privacy, VLC media player does not collect
personal data or transmit it (even in anonymised form), to anyone.
if that's too hard for the old-school latin-educated amongst you, then you
could fudge it with:
> In order to protect your privacy, VLC media player does not collect or
transmit your personal data to anyone (not even in anonymised form).
you will of course note that I prefer the English anonymised over the
American anonymized!
