[vlc-devel] Automatic subtitle font changing...

Folks,

Environment: Ubuntu 12.04, VLC 2.0.4

Occasionally, we receive subtitles files that are in a non-English language. To make it work,  we have to go to each of our machines, edit Preferences->"Subtitles effects," and explicitly select an appropriate font.  I am wondering if there is a way to force VLC to automatically detect the font to be used.

The subtitle files are in UTF8 format.
