Hi,

I am streaming a *mkv (1080p) movie over the internet and i get the
following errors at the destination.

[h264 @ 0x7fc408054960] Missing reference picture
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] mmco: unref short failure
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] reference picture missing during reorder
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] reference picture missing during reorder
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] reference picture missing during reorder
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] Missing reference picture
[h264 @ 0x7fc408053640] Missing reference picture

I dont get these errors as often when i steam the same file over the local
LAN.

Can somebody tell me when these errors are observed? Is it due to packet
losses? The thing is that at the IP stack there arent many packet losses.
Can this indicate jitter in the network?

Is my use case wrong where i am trying to stream a file that inherently not
encoded to be streamed across such large distances? Should i then be using
a file with some other encoding?

Thanks, Abhishek
