I don't really care either way. But it does not look like the new UI is ready 
for merging in the foreseeable future - unless either GUI-embedded video 
playback is forsaken, or the non-playlist UI changes are postponed.

I also don't really see how the new UI can avoid using vlc_object_t with the 
current state of the core which still relies on VLC object variables for video 
output controls at least.
