There seems to be some misunderstanding, and I'm sorry if I wasn't
clear enough. When I'm asking for leaving removal notices in place of
the removed feature, and deprecation notices in 3.0, and release notes
documenting alternatives, I'm indeed talking about the specific removal
of the VLM schedule feature in this patchset.

However it's true that these are general principles that can and should
also be applied for previous (Vod) and future (??? - let's talk about
it!) removed VLM features. The 3.0 patch I submitted is not specific to
your patchset, and is perhaps more forward-leaning than it needs to be
- and in a related way, it's also true that I oppose your patch on the
basis of a lack of consensus that it's going in the right direction.

So it seems you've misrepresented my words and then suggested I was an
insane troll - please assume good faith instead.
